Bia Hoi, Saigon
IF anything can rival China's beer in a bag for its sheer catheter-like quality, then it must surely be Vietnam's "Bia Hoi".Bia Hoi is a fresh draft beer best taken streetside while you try to squeeze your arse into an unnaturally narrow plastic chair.
Not only is it the cheapest beer we've come by, at AUD30c for one litre, but it's served in this ravishing plastic bottle which Rachelle quite rightly stated looks almost identical to one of those bottles men pee in when in hospital.
It tastes like something from that bottle too.
Eeeew, drink up!
(Or spend the extra 20 cents for something more drinkable. Whatever. hehe.)
